金メダル獲得数1位 No. 1 in the number of gold medals won [essay]
本日現在、日本が獲得した金メダルの数が10個となり、1位の状況と知った。
銅メダルまで含めたメダルの総数では米国の25個、中国の21個に及ばないが、金メダルだと1位だ。
今まで、こんなことがあっただろうか？
確かにお家芸の柔道が早く始まっているので、理解出来るが、水泳や卓球、新種目のスケートボードでも金メダルが目立っている。
とても嬉しい反面、やはり自国開催というのが良いのだろうか？
無観客試合なので、応援は影響しない。
となると、後は環境だ。蒸し暑い気候や慣れた試合会場などかもしれない。
あるいは、コロナ禍で外を出歩けない外国人選手のストレスが増しているのかもしれない。
さて、全試合が終わった段階で、どのような結果になり、どのように東京大会が評価されるのか、楽しみな反面、厳しい意見も覚悟もしないとならないと思っている。(写真はイメージ画像:pixabay)
