好きな作家のエッセイ。この冬にくも膜下出血で倒れたが、丁度復帰されたとの報道があり、一安心した。
この作品は、週刊プレイボーイに連載されたものを大幅に修正しているという。
中年である自分にとっても、なかなか真似できない生き様や経験をされている著者。だから、その作品を通じて、生き様を少し共有出来るのが嬉しい。
ただ、若い人にとっては、なかなか直接的に受け止めるのは、難しいかもしれない。
多分、昔気質の高齢者の思い込みで、今の時代に全く合わないと思われてしまうかもしれない。
つまり、ある程度の人生を重ねた人にしか、響かない言葉が多いと感じる。
ただ、誰でもが参考になるだろうというフレーズがあった。
仕事について語った一説だ。
「苦しくても先頭集団に居続ける精神がすべて」
「キツイのが限界に来た時に、簡単な方を選ばないことを決めておく。肝心なのは、先頭集団から抜け出すのではなく、そこに居続けられる精神力、スピリッツである。一発逆転は有り得ない。」
やはり人生を長く生き、しかもよく見て、良く考えている人からしか、出てこない含蓄のある言葉だ。
これからも、まだまだ、作品を書いて頂きたい。
An essay of my favorite writer. Although he fell down due to subarachnoid hemorrhage this winter, I was relieved once there was a report that he had just returned.
This work is said to be a major modification of the one serialized in Weekly Playboy.
The author has a lifestyle and experience that I who is a middle-aged person, cannot be easily imitated. Therefore, I am glad that I can share my way of life through the work.
However, it may be difficult for young people to accept it directly.
Perhaps, the old-fashioned belief of the old people may make you think that it does not fit the present age.
In other words, I feel that there are many words that do not sound only to people who have had a certain amount of life.
However, there was a phrase that anyone would find helpful.
It is a theory that talked about work.
"Even though it is painful, it is all about the spirit of staying in the front group
"When you comes to the limit, I will decide not to choose the simple one. What is important is the spirit that can stay there, rather than getting out of the lead group. There is no one-shot reversal. ."
After all, it is a word with connotations that comes out only from those who have lived a long life, and have seen and thought carefully.
I hope you will continue to write your works.
