「スキャンダル」 "Scandal" [感想文]
ヨーロッパに旅行に行くと、言葉もわからないのに、朝のニュース番組をよく見る。そこでいつも驚くのが、女性キャスターのいでたちだ。
胸の谷間を堂々と見せ、しかもスカートから出した素足を組んで、ガンガン話している。
しかも、ある程度、年齢を重ねた人、つまりおばさんでも。
こうしたスタイルは、まず日本のテレビではお目にかかれない。いかにセクシーかをアピールするのが、欧米人特有の性質だと思っていた。
しかし、この映画を見て少し考えを改めた。セクシーさを前面に押し出すのは、テレビ局の戦略でもあったようだ。確かに男は見てしまうし。
映画の感想を一言で言うと、アメリカのテレビ局で働くということは、相当にストレスが多そうだ、ということ。セクハラやパワハラも当たり前なのかもしれない。
それにしても、メーガン・ケリー役のシャーリーズ・セロンは綺麗だった。本人も勿論綺麗だが、メーガン役のメイクが良かった。流石にアカデミー賞を受賞しただけあるメイクだ。
When I travel to Europe, I often watch morning news programs without knowing the language. It is always surprising to see female casters.
They shows the cleavage in a dignified manner, and talks pounding with their bare legs out of the skirt.
And to some extent, even older people, aunts.
These styles are not first seen on Japanese television. I thought that appealing to how sexy it was was a characteristic of Westerners.
However, after watching this movie, I changed my mind a little. Pushing sexiness to the fore seems to have been the strategy of the television station. Surely a man would see it.
In a nutshell, working in a U.S. television station seems to be quite stressful. Sexual harassment and power harassment may be commonplace.
Still, Charlize Theron as Meghan Kelly was beautiful. The person herself was of course beautiful, but the makeup of the role of Meghan was good. It's the makeup that just won the Academy Award.
