りんご Apple

職場の同僚からりんごをもらった。その同僚は福島県の方から送ってもらったそうだ。普段食べるりんごとは違い、傷がつかないように、発泡スチロールで包まれている立派なものだ。
お礼を言う際に、「子供の頃から、りんごが大好きだ。」と付け加えた。
実は、大人になってから、特に好んでりんごを食べているわけではない。
しかし、そう答えた後に、確かに、自分はりんごが好きだったんだ、と今更ながら、思い出した。
小さな頃、母親から、「お前は、りんごのことを、グーグー、グーグーと言って、とても欲しがった」と何度も言われた。
それは、りんごやみかんが、もっとも手に入りやすい果物だったから、母が洗脳したのか、本当に、好きだったのか、今は分からない。
いずれにしても、自分は、りんごが好きと勝手に思っていた。
しかし、決して裕福でない中で、果物を食べさせてもらっていたんだなぁ〜、と感謝しながら、ありがたく福島のりんごを頂いた。

I got an apple from a colleague at work. The colleague was sent from Fukushima Prefecture. Unlike apples that I usually eat, it is a splendid thing wrapped in styrofoam so as not to get scratched.
When I thanked her, I added, "I love apples since I was a kid."
Actually, when I grew up, I didn't really like eating apples.
But after answering so, I remembered that I certainly liked apples.
When I was kid,my mother told me many times, “You really wanted apples, goo goo, goo goo”.
Because apples and tangerines are the most readily available fruits, I don't know if my mother was brainwashed or really liked it.
In any case, I thought that I liked apples.
However, I was grateful that I was allowed to eat fruit while I was not wealthy, and thankfully I got an apple from Fukushima.
