春節祭の飾り付けが行われているとのことなので、横浜中華街に行ってみた。平日でありきちんとした評価は出来ないが、少なくとも昨年よりも人は多く出ているように感じた。

また、国内の観光客だけでなく、明らかに海外からの旅行客もいた。

ただ、活気が完全に戻ったとは思えない。以前は、平日でも観光バスが何台も来ていたからだ。

個人的に中華街に対して、強い思い入れがあるわけではないが、今回の春節祭を契機にしてなんとかコロナ禍以前に戻って欲しいと思っている。

I went to Yokohama Chinatown to see the decorations for the Chinese New Year Festival. Although it was a weekday and I could not make a proper evaluation, it seemed that there were at least more people out than last year.

Also, there were obviously tourists from abroad as well as domestic tourists.

However, I don't think the liveliness has completely returned. This is because there used to be a number of tourist buses even on weekdays.

Personally, I do not have strong feelings for Chinatown, but I hope that this Chinese New Year festival will be an opportunity to somehow return it to its pre-Corona disaster state.
