「マリー・ローランサンとモード」Bunkamura ザ・ミュージアム Marie Laurencin and Mode" Bunkamura The Museum

Bunkamuraは渋谷の東急百貨店内にあるが、その東急百貨店はすでに1月末に閉店してしまっている。

ザ・ミュージアムもこの展覧会終了をもって、長期休館になるとのこと。

以前から私はよくここに来ていたので、少し寂しい。でも、渋谷ヒカリエで展覧会などは継続するそうなので安心した。

さて、マリー・ローランサンのことは、名前と代表的な絵のタッチくらいしか知らなかった。

今回の展示を見て、1920年代のパリで活躍したこと、そして、一つの時代を作った総合的なアーティストだということがよく分かった。

例えば、付き合いのあったココ・シャネルを通じたファッション界だけでなく、バレエの舞台装置なども手掛けていたのだ。

当時の日本とは比べ物にならないほど文化レベルが違っていたことに改めて気づかされたとともに、時代を切り開く芸術家の凄みを感じた展覧会であった。

Bunkamura is located in the Tokyu Department Store in Shibuya, which has already closed at the end of January.

The Museum will also be closed for an extended period of time after this exhibition.

I used to come here often, so I am a little sad to hear that. However, I was relieved to hear that exhibitions and other events will continue at Shibuya Hikarie.

I knew Marie Laurencin only by name and her representative paintings.

After seeing this exhibition, I now understand that she was active in Paris in the 1920s and that she was a comprehensive artist who created an era.

For example, she worked not only in the fashion world through Coco Chanel, with whom she had a relationship, but also on stage sets for ballet.

The exhibition made me realize once again that the level of culture at that time was incomparably different from that of Japan, and at the same time, I felt the greatness of the artists who paved the way for the times.
