WBC日本戦始まる WBC Japan game begins.

普段はプロ野球の試合をテレビでも見ることはない。しかし、WBCは国の戦いでもあるので、今回はフォローすることにした。

それにしても、大谷翔平選手は凄い。高校野球でさえも最近はエースでかつクリーンアップを担う選手が少なくなっているのに、プロでしかも世界一を決める大会で、堂々と投げて打てるのだから。

本当のスーパースターだと感心しながら試合を見ていた。

それにしても、最近の投手の投げる球は変わった。

実は、学生時代にバッティングセンターで時速120キロの球を打つどころか、怖くてのけぞっていたくらいな自分にとって、時速160キロの球を投げる、または打つなんて信じられない。

だから、プロなんだと言われると返す言葉はないが、今回はじっくりと野球を楽しむことにしたい。

I usually do not watch professional baseball games on TV. However, since the WBC is a battle of nations, I decided to follow it this time.

By the way, Shohei Ohtani is a great player. Even in high school baseball, there are not many players who can play ace and cleanup these days, but he is a professional baseball player who can throw and hit with pride in the tournament that decides the world's No. 1 player.

He is a true superstar, and I watched the game with great admiration.

Even so, the pitches pitched by pitchers these days have changed.

In fact, as a student, I was so scared to hit a 120 km/h pitch at the batting cage that I was scared to move my head back.
