とにかく、音楽がクラシックが好きなんだなぁ〜、ということが伝わってきた。著者の個人的なクラシックへの思いをぶちまけているという感じだ。
それは悪い意味でない。自分自身、そんなに魅力的な音楽とは、どんなものなのか？ 長年聴き続けても飽きないクラシックをどう聴けば良いのか？と思わせてくれた。
特に、著者はクラシックをある特定の人達だけでなく、もっとポピュラーに考えるべきと考えていることがよくわかる。
最後には、「ラ・フォル・ジュルネ」の仕掛け人であるルネ・マルタンさんとの対談が掲載されている。このイベントがとても興味深い取り組みだということも知った。現在も続けられているようなので、是非行ってみたい。
