何気なく手に取った本だったが、ターゲットは、まさに自分であった。
50歳代の男が育てられた時代背景などをもとに、その前の年代とは違う甘い世代だと著者は結論づけている。
悲しいが、確かに納得出来る部分はある。しかし、自分は違う！と反論しながら、読み進んだ部分も多かった。
それでも、精神科医だけに、悲しんでいる人への対応の仕方などは、とても参考になった。
また、最後に50オトコに対する処方箋として、こんなことも書いている。要約すると、
❶ハツラツ寿命は65歳まで。あと10年で何が出来るか、よく取捨選択して取り組め。
❷時代は変わったと認め、変えることと、変えないことの整理をはじめよう。
このようなことだ。確かに時間は少ないし時代が変わったのに、「あの頃は良かったなぁ」では、取り残されるだけだ。
ある意味では、50オンナからの応援メッセージである。
